  • Anonymous asked: LOVE your fav pic choices!!!! Can you post your fav for pics of people Xavier played like in his movies?

You have no idea the hours, tears, and hyperventilation (and exaggeration) it took just to name my top picks for general Xavier photos! But, because I also found the process pretty fun and even a bit nostalgic: challenge accepted! Now, you didn’t really give me any perimeters here, which leaves open a multitude of options, so I’m just gonna narrow this down as such: My favorite pictorial portrayal (One?! How am I gonna do this?!) of Xavier, in character, from each one of his major films that have already been released (in chronological order, cause I’m OCD like that). Of course, this only includes the screencaps and such already posted to FYXS - and, yes, some of them will be those that I made myself, because, well, I capture any given moment because I find a particular image striking.

Angela’s Decision (2006): Though there is a photo of Xavier with a cigarette hanging between his lips (and it is ridiculously hot and, I know, it shouldn’t be), I had to choose this one instead. Every one of the perfect features on his perfect face look positively gorgeous.

September (2007): I’ve only just posted this pic, but I find it absolutely beautiful. The way the shadow of his hand is cast over the majority of his face, yet highlights his parted mouth and watery eye (he is staring at the sun, after all), is such stuff this film’s brilliant cinematography is made of.

Newcastle (2008): I’m assuming a gif doesn’t count? Damn! So, this screencap is dark, maybe a little too dark to make out the intricacies of the scene, but if you’ve seen the movie, you know what I’m saying. The smirk. The I-just-beat-Scotty-at-his-own-game grin. Oh, and I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a million times, because it’ll always be true: Xavier Samuel has the sexiest collarbones I have ever had the privilege of viewing. (Fine, I’ll admit it, he’s the only person I’ve ever laid eyes on who actually has such exquisite clavicles that I feel compelled to sing their praises - in fact, I may start a blog called “Fuck Yeah, Xavier Samuel’s Collarbones!” Not a bad idea …)

Drowning (2009): Again, it’s the profile. And I know a lot of people’s preferred attribute of Xavier’s appearance is his lips - those gloriously full, pouty lips that create the most heart-melting smile when uplifted at the corners - and I am no exception (cause, after all, I am only human, and anyone who doesn’t find his mouth hot is simply not of our species).

The Loved Ones (2009): Oddly enough, I had the most trouble picking from this film’s bounty of pics. And just as odd, I think this may be the Xavier movie I watch the most. (Although all are on regular rotation, for real, like, at least one watched weekly. Is my fangirl showing?) And it was a very close battle between this one (the first ever still I saw from The Loved Ones; it made quite an impression) and the one I ultimately went with. He’s just gorgeous, even through that layer of grime caked on his face.

Road Train/Kill (2010): Oh, he’s so sad! Now that we’ve collectively taken a moment  to worship Xavier’s mouth, let’s give a proper shout-out to his unbelievably impressive hair. Dark, light, long, short, extensioned, even his (beloved, to me at least) on-screen wig - he rocks them all in such a fashion that I have yet to find a hairstyle he can’t pull off marvelously.

Eclipse (2010): Riley Biers is, without a doubt, the most magnificent vampire in the Twilight Saga. No offense to Edward or, ya know, those other guys I don’t bother remembering the names of because, obviously, they’re not Riley. He’s the one that most closely resembles the way a vampire should be - menacing, a people-eater, and whatnot but, most importantly, we never see him sparkle. I especially appreciate his flawlessly porcelain skin (another classic vamp-trait), which actually seems to glow in the dark, as it does here.

Anonymous (2011): Actors who succeed at awesomely effective man-crying in any given role are sadly underrated by the film-going public. Xavier’s a damn good man-crier. Done.

A Few Best Men (2012): I haven’t actually watched this movie (unless you count an online version of bootleg quality that was only available in Spanish, thus rendering me completely oblivious to anything they say), but it has technically been out in theatres. I know, I know, you’re probably thinking of all the Best Men pics to choose from, why did I opt for this strange one? Cause dude looks really nice in that shirt. Is that weird?

And as always, any and all opinions are welcome :)
